Voting is the single most important right we have as Americans. I believe in the power of democracy, and I will ensure that every eligible voter has their voice heard.

I support federal legislation like the For the People Act, to protect the integrity of our democracy by expanding voting rights and reducing the influence of money and partisanship in politics.

I support restoring Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act to require jurisdictions with a history of race-based voter disenfranchisement to obtain federal approval (pre-clearance) for voting changes in order to ensure they are not discriminatory

I also support a constitutional amendment to reverse the impact of Citizens United and fix campaign finance.

I believe that Election Day should be a national holiday, and I will support every policy that makes voting easier and more accessible, such as automatic voter registration at age 18.
